CLONEHEART
Main Characters:
Mynt Tharun: The protagonist of the story, a half Tamil girl with turquoise hair, synesthesia, and a frosty attitude that matches her name. Loose morals, early twenties—a real bucket of sunshine with no problem putting certain arses in their place. After her mother dies unexpectedly, grief curdles into anger, and anger spirals into destruction. But hey—she’s already hit rock bottom. There’s no way this week could get worse.
Until she meets Kazuya.
Kazuya: A nondescript man in a lab coat—messy hair, glasses, heterochromia. You wouldn’t look twice at him on the street. And that’s exactly why no one has noticed what he’s been up to.
A licensed geneticist. Or he was, before his ideas turned… radical. But when you have a goal like his, you can’t let little things like morality get in the way. In his shoes, you too would turn to extremes. He just needs to enlighten you. After all, the best ideas strike after lightning. Sometimes, more than once.
He is meticulous. Scientific. Logical. Except for the part where he smiles wider—too wide—the more his test subjects cry. Fear is an opportunity. Not using it would be wasteful. You… do agree, don’t you?
Nurse Suzu: Nurse Suzu is at your service, and so glad you’re here! She's brought you her favorite heart print pillow and just knows you’ll get along so well. People say she’s too cheerful, and that her nurse outfit looks straight out of a costume shop, but what do they know? No taste, no vision. She’s been debating whether to paint the walls bubblegum pink or peach, but hmm… actually, those might clash with the ripe color of blood. Maybe something darker?
Oh, don’t worry—she’ll make sure you’re comfortable! After all, it’s very important that test subjects feel at ease. Since, you know… this is the last place they’ll ever be. <3
No, she doesn’t see anything wrong with what they’re doing. Why do you ask?
